Piece for flute solo
1994

Commissioned by the Government of India in 1994. The work is dedicated to the Indian poet Rabindranath Tagore. In this work, Elena Sokolovskaya quotes motifs from various works of the poet and musician. The concept of the composition lies in the dialogue of the flutist with the wind singing in the night reeds. This work was recorded on the Moscow Radio by the People's Artist of the RSFSR, Russian flutist Alexander Korneev and performed at music festivals in Moscow, Germany and India.
