The work, which the composer Elena Sokolovski called "Spring Prelude for Harp", was first performed at a concert of the Russian Harp Society. The prelude music immediately attracted attention with its freshness and apparent "simplicity". But this simplicity actually reveals itself gradually, captivating us with unpredictable turns in development. The Russian character of thematism is full of bizarre changes in size and tonal juxtapositions. The general figurative structure of the prelude is associated with spring growth, flowering and the desire to quickly feel the life-giving sunlight, and the through warm breeze, as it were, is already shaking the green branches of trees and grass with the first tender violets, lilies of the valley, forget-me-nots… Spring has come, and everything obeys this amazing law!
